Kothar : To better visualize the game in your head, image if all those old, beat-up, dusty paperbacks with obscure fantasy heroes on them had a shared universe, a really insane magic system, and a fun as hell way of generating characters and backstories. It depicts a wicked land of antediluvian horror and wasteful opulence. The game is a package deal of both rules and setting. It is also very easy to learn for most 5E players, as Swords & Chaos has a hybrid engine that encompasses elements from the 5E SRD, such as an advantage/disadvantage system, and some spells. Swords & Chaos is powered by the SIEGE Engine of Castles & Crusades fame, and is thus compatable with most Troll Lord Games products. It’s a celebration of pulp fantasy, Sword & Sorcery fiction, and the Weird.
